Abstract

A literature review with the aim to reflect on the knowledge of information skills is done. Theorists from the use of a system approach involving analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction as research method of investigation, in order of knowing the milestones in universities and related international organizations. The modeling was used for the construction of a new development project from the perspective information skills in the field of university and education linked to the needs of higher education inCuba. The article supports the thesis about the development of information skills that should be systematically, structured, planned and implemented as an integral part of the training curriculum on interaction with the content of teaching disciplines under the guidance of the leader of the information literacy (IL) and the active participation of information professionals.
