Abstract

A study was conducted in 90 students with confirmed disorder and attention deficit of attention or hyperactivity (ADHD), aged between 6-12 years belonging to Banes, town, Holguin, with the aim of describing this behavior diagnosis. The primary data was obtained of theirs complete medical records at the Center for Diagnosis and Orientation (CDO) and individual medical records of children diagnosed according to ICD-10 diagnoses and DSM-IV criteria for ADHD. Sex, age group that was diagnosed, types of ADHD, co morbidity and type of family: the variables are studied. Cases between 6 and 9 years old, male, mixed or combined type were found. The predominant comorbidity was the learning disorder, predominantly dysfunctional families. For the observed results it is proposed to design an educational intervention program for parents and teachers.
