Impact of terminological dictionary in GIS Career in the town of Baracoa, Guantanamo

Abstract

A study is done for a project of technological innovation in the Policlinic "Fermin Valdes Dominguez" during the years 2008-2012, in order to propose the design of a terminological dictionary as a reference tool for strengthening the teaching learning process in GIS career the studied universe was constituted by 68 students from the regular day course, choosing a sample of 34 students.  The results of this investigation were analyzed and proved that 100 % of students expressed the need to create a dictionary covering terms and definitions in the GIS profile. Most of the students preferred the printed version for been used, but many others suggested the digital version.
