Abstract

An educational intervention study on hypertension in hypertensive patients belonging to a Polyclinic University "4 de Abril" clinic during July 2012 - July 2013 is carried out. The universe is constituted by 28 hypertensive patients who met the criteria for investigation. Primary data are obtained through questionnaires. The variables are used: adequate blood pressure, symptoms and signs, risk factors, complications and prevention of decompensation. There is little knowledge about the disease before applying the educational intervention, which changes significantly after it is applied.
