Abstract

Educational intervention is performed with the aim of raising the level of knowledge about teen pregnancy, teen office in Curacao, Portuguesa, Venezuela, from March to August 2010. The universe is made up of 44 adolescents between 13 and 19 years old. The research has three phases: diagnostic, educational intervention and evaluation of it. Impact is considered when is obtained 50% or more of adequate knowledge in the studied variables, which were: knowledge about the optimal age pregnancy, family planning methods, and consequences of teenage pregnancy. Before the intervention properly known minority on age of onset of sexual relations, family planning methods and consequences of teenage pregnancy, and after the intervention was obtained an adequate level of knowledge in most teenagers, so it was considered good impact.
