Abstract

A study is conducted in 409 patients, 356 with low vision and blind 53, treated at the Ophthalmology Polyclinic "Hermanos Martinez Tamayo"Baracoa, from January 2013 to December 2014. They performed subjective and objective eye examination. Female gender and age groups between 60-64 years old, 65 years and over were the most affected. Chronic simple glaucoma and high myopia were the most frequent causes of low vision. In the blind were predominant forms of congenital glaucoma and cataract.
