Abstract

A study of capacitating intervention is done to raise awareness of risk factors and prevention of cervical cancer (CCU) in teenagers at a teaching Policlinic "Emilio Daudinot Bueno" from January to December 2014. The studied universe and sample were: 77 teenagers. It was taken into account the inclusion and exclusion criteria besides the informed consent of the same before the investigation began. Variables were the following: age of first intercourse, unprotected sex, aware that protected relationships prevent cervical cancer, awareness of cervical cancer and perceived risk factors. The information processing was performed by questionnaire, literature and document review. It was possible to modify the level of knowledge of the subject in teenagers, with great acceptance, obtaining a satisfactory change in the thinking and acting of teenagers regarding this illness.
