Abstract

The presence of ovarian tumors in female pediatric patients is a serious health problem for young child and gynecologists, surgeons and family physicians, which arrive girls, usually accompanied by their parents, affected by diverse and non-specific symptoms, what causes the appearance of misdiagnosis, resulting in delays appropriate treatment. This article was compiled from conducting a comprehensive review of the subject, and is run health personnel involved in the diagnosis, treatment and monitoring of this disease, with the aim of contributing to these professional elements that allow us to have in mind this disease and thus expedite diagnosis and propose appropriate therapeutic action, which is more a tool, based on the preservation of health and reproductive quality of our children's female population.
