Abstract

 A study is done in the Urology Service at the General Teaching Hospital "Dr. Agostinho Neto "Guantanamo from January 1985 to December 2010, with the aim of knowing the results of endoscopic surgical treatment in benign prostatic hyperplasia. The universe of study consisted of 997 patients that were diagnosed with BPH, level I-II also for patients with big prostate glands than could receive some benefit from this surgical technique .variables are studied: weight in grams, surgical time, quantity of prostate tissue, cessation of hematuria, the catheter was removed, time stay and complications. There was a predominance of minor glands of 50 g and the average between dried tissues was 31.05 g. The surgery time 48.3 minutes with a 0.64g surgical effectiveness per minute. The postoperative stay was 3.6 days. Satisfactory final results.
