Estrategias de calidad en los servicios de salud: un estudio bibliométrico

Resumen

Introducción: la calidad en los servicios de salud es fundamental para garantizar seguridad, equidad y eficiencia. Esta enfrenta desafíos globales y disparidades contextuales. Un análisis bibliométrico permite sistematizar el conocimiento existente e identificar tendencias y vacíos investigativos.

Objetivo: realizar un análisis bibliométrico exhaustivo de las estrategias de calidad en servicios de salud, con la identificación de tendencias, redes de colaboración y brechas, con especial, énfasis en América Latina.

Método: se realizó un estudio cuantitativo-descriptivo con diseño longitudinal no experimental basado en la bibliometría donde se analizaron 1 164 documentos indexados en Scopus (1995-2025) mediante VOSviewer (para redes de cocitación) y Bibliometrix (para dinámicas de publicación e impacto). Los criterios de inclusión contemplaron: documentos en inglés y español, revisados por pares, texto completo disponible, enfoque directo en estrategias de calidad de servicio de salud (clínica, administrativa o tecnológica) y población humana.

Resultados: se observó un crecimiento anual del 13,93%, con predominio de autores e instituciones de Estados Unidos (324 documentos). Los temas centrales incluyeron equidad de género, seguridad del paciente y tecnologías emergentes. Se evidenciaron brechas geográficas (escasa representación de América Latina y África) y concentración de la productividad en un núcleo reducido de autores.

Conclusiones: el campo es dinámico pero fragmentado. Se requieren investigaciones más inclusivas y colaborativas para desarrollar políticas equitativas y sostenibles que respondan a las necesidades globales y locales en calidad de salud.
