Open Access Policy

Revista Información Científica (RIC) provides immediate Open Access to its content, based on the principle that offering the public free and open access to research contributes to a greater global exchange of knowledge. Its content is freely and universally accessible, and no fees or charges (APCs) are charged for the publication of its articles, making it a Diamond Open Access (Diamond OA) journal.

Over time, RIC has increasingly granted access to its content. It began using a CC BY-NC-SA license from 2017 to 2019 and transitioned to a CC BY-NC license from 2020 to 2021.

Currently, and since 2023, Revista Información Científica is published under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY), which allows the material to be copied and redistributed in any medium or format; remixed, transformed, and built upon for any purpose, even commercially; as long as the original author(s) are cited and acknowledged.
