Publication Frequency

Revista Información Científica (RIC) was published quarterly from its first digital publications in 1997 until 2012, subsequently changing to bimonthly from 2013 to 2022.

Since 2023, it has adopted a continuous publication system in a single volume, beginning in January and closing in December. Its call for submissions is ongoing. Users will be notified via email with the updated table of contents for each publication of an article or group of articles. This latest update date can always be verified next to the volume's cover.

RIC may publish special issues or thematic supplements that respond to a specific communication need on a topic or event of interest to the Universidad de Ciencias Médicas de Guantánamo. Their structure and length will be determined by the Editorial Committee in prior coordination with the scientific and organizing committees, with the appropriate approval of the competent authorities. Both full-text articles and books of abstracts may be published, as determined by the Editorial Committee.

This is an essential practice for research to reach beyond a temporary audience. In the case of abstracts, this does not prevent authors from publishing full-text articles elsewhere.
