Erratum and Retractions
All content of articles published in the journal may be corrected when, during the evaluation and editing process, or even after publication, the author or editor discovers or is notified of undetected errors.
Depending on the type, severity, and/or consequences of the error, the following changes and/or additions may be made to the articles:
- Errata: refers to the correction of one or more errors that do not prevent the article from continuing to be published.
- Retraction: refers to the recognition of considerably serious errors that invalidate the results and conclusions of the article and, therefore, imply that the article must be withdrawn in its entirety. Articles that have been shown to violate the journal's statement of editorial ethics will also be subject to retraction.
- Retraction with republication: this will be considered in cases where the Editorial Board considers an honest error (for example, a misclassification or a calculation error) that led to a significant change in the direction or meaning of the results, interpretations, and conclusions. In this case, a new evaluation will be conducted, and readers will be informed of the scope of the changes made.
Any request for a proofreading of errors or retraction should be sent to ric.gtm@infomed.sld.cu, stating your case and providing the necessary information to support it.
All identified errors will be thoroughly analyzed by the Director and the Editorial Board. In more complex cases, the Director may request expert advice to make decisions and provide ethical solutions for each case.
In all cases, the journal will ensure that errors are corrected promptly. It will also communicate and detail to the scientific community the changes and the dates on which they were made so that readers are aware of the corrections made.
