Brief approach to the study of the homophobia: an actuality topic

Abstract

A bibliographical review is done on homophobia, with the target to value the behavior of this phenomenon at present because it is the imaginary social one in the current Cuban society and expresses itself like a real and daily situation. This ideological consequence produces discrimination and stigma and is demonstrated in the human suffering, in the physical and mental health, not only of the discriminated persons, but also in those who are not in agreement with this behavior. There were used the historical-logical methods, analysis and synthesis, the skills history of life and documentary review. The informations were used like sustenance to develop criticism and reflections as regards the subject-matter in the sexuality elective course.
