Psychological and occlusal therapies in patient with bruxism

Abstract

An intervention study is done for assessing the effectiveness of psychological therapies and occlusal in patients with bruxism. The universe was constituted by 50 patients with clinical diagnosis of bruxism. Two study-groups were established: In Group 1 was implemented psychological therapy with transitional nasal shutter and the Group 2 occlusal therapy using occlusal splint. The study already done reveals several changes that modify the state of health on patients with bruxism, with the introduction of behavior modification therapy with the use of nasal transitional shutter.
