Abstract

An intervention strategy is carried out in the period of January-March 2013 in the town of Caimanera with the aim to show how from the optimal use of free time is achieved influence in the lifestyle of the elderly for successful longevity. The universe of study consists of 1624 old people and a sample of 200 grandparents. From the results predominated female’s sex and mental dimensions. Surveys showed that it is an insufficient number of activities, showing that their combination with institutions, family and community is most effective for the emotional wellbeing with the promotion and their influence on the proper lifestyle.
