Abstract

The papillary mucinous intraductal neoplasia is a rare cyst of the pancreas, but it is increasingly observed due to the new imaging techniques that sometimes diagnose it incidentally. Given the validity of the topic and its malignant potential, a detailed review of this cystic tumor is carried out: epidemiology, classification, clinical picture, histology, treatment, diagnosis, among other points of importance for daily medical knowledge and practice
