Abstract

Perinatal infections are infections that affect the mother and the newborn and are sometimes unknown, so it is decided to carry out a bibliographic review in order to deepen and clarify the subject. The results show that ,there are different classifications of the same with respect to its etiology and routes of transmission, this deseases can be congenital, perinatal or postnatal, vertical and horizontal transmission, according to its etiology are viral, bacterial and parasitic and its pathways May be due to ascending and hematogenous infection. Each of these has individual epidemiological characteristics that are described in the work, as well as its incidence and behavior. This allows raising the quality of the educational teaching process with current scientific topics.
