Abstract

A descriptive review of diseases of the central nervous system, proposed in the curricula for students of the Clinical Bioanalysis and Clinical Laboratory course. The national and international literatures are reviewed that allows us to disseminate the update of the contents and technical procedures used in the diagnosis of these diseases, and to obtain quality results in the tests performed on the cerebrospinal fluid. In this way, the technological procedures are updated and the problem of the contents dispersed in literatures that are usually single copies and others not updated of the guiding subject Diagnostic IV is solved. It is a means of consultation for students, tutors, laboratory staff and professors of the career.
