Abstract

The case of a 60-year-old patient is presented who visits the General Teaching Hospital "Dr. Agostinho Neto ", for presenting discreet eye pain and discomfort to the light. In the biomicroscopic examination marginal annular opacity with peripheral vascularization is observed, affecting all the corneal thickness of approximately 3 mm wide. Complete ocular examination, refraction, corneal topography, pachymetry, biometry and in vivo confocal microscopy of the cornea are performed. Finally the diagnosis of Terrien's marginal degeneration is reached.
