Labor of medical cooperation in the University Polyclinic "4 de Abril" of the province of Guantánamo

Abstract

A study was carried out with the objective of knowing the behavior of the medical collaboration abroad of the workers of the Polyclinic "4 de Abril" of the province of Guantánamo since its inception in this health institution. The projection of Medical Cooperation as a basic and indissoluble principle since the conception of the Unified Health System is an aspect that contributed greatly to its development. It is concluded that the collaborators of our institution provide medical services in several countries such as: Venezuela, Haiti, Bolivia, Angola, Botswana, Ecuador, Guyana, Qatar, Nicaragua, Algeria, Equatorial Guinea, Haiti, Jamaica among others, predominantly Women represented in all countries and in all specialties.
