Violence against women as a social problem

Abstract

The XXI century requires further reflection in relation to discussions on the future of mankind; a topic, most often discussed is: violence against women which the family has a key role as the fundamental unit society. The review and literature review presented was performed with the aim of demonstrating the links between the family and society through a brief review of the origin of violence, and issues affecting the current Cuban family. Final considerations are issued based on the criteria taken from the understanding of the literature search that it could be seen that many researchers have made contributions to this content being in full correspondence with the topics discussed, being the essential element that strong indissoluble links between the family as a social-historical category and society itself.
