Abstract

Malaria is a disease that causes considerable damage to public health and human productivity in many parts of the world, including The Americas, for that it was developed the Regional Strategic Plan for Malaria 2006-2010 in this continent representing an important step work related to communicable diseases and provides a comprehensive analysis of the malaria situation in the region and provides true solutions. Cuba is potentially threatened by this disease due to the opening of migration and international missions to areas where the plasmodium is common, especially falciparum is the most explosive and deadly, with a short, recurrences and strains that change every 6 months with an unpredictable death in cases. That is why; it is vital update therapeutics to combat it more effectively.
