Abstract

A study is done with the objective to characterize the behavior of the mortality for malignant tumors at the policlinic “4 de Abril” Guantanamo, province, from the 1st of January, 2006 to December 31first, 2011. The studied universe was 327 deceased for the mentioned cause. Variables are studied, as: age, sex, type of malignant tumor, year and month of death and confirmation across autopsy. Several deceased by cancer during 2008 and 2011, male sex and older than 60 years of age. The mentioned mortality prevailed in people with cancer of lung and prostate and the biggest place of occurrence of the deceased patients was in the house.
