Cryptosporidium: opportunist Protozoan

Abstract

A bibliographic review is carried out on the protozoa of the sporozoa class. Morphological characteristics, evolutionary cycle, clinical manifestations, diagnosis, prophylaxis and treatment of Cryptosporidium are reviewed in order to revert the insufficient level of knowledge that family physicians and inmates of the Polyclinic "4 de Agosto" have on this protozoan. For the accomplishment of this work are used research methods of theoretical and empirical level, they allow to analyze and evaluate the revised bibliography and consequently, come to conclusions on the subject.
