Abstract

A bibliographic review on aging, family and quality of life is carried out, from the authors make a brief historical account of this natural process, as well as theoretical evaluations in relation to population aging worldwide and in our country, in particular. It is pointed out in correspondence with the accumulated welfare experience, the so important role of the family to achieve a better quality of life in the elderly.
