Abstract

The retroperitoneal liposarcoma is a malignant tumor of mesodermal origin derived from adipose tissue, its clinical presentation is insidious and non-specific, abdominal distention being the most frequent symptom, allowing it ,to acquire large dimensions. Its optimal treatment is surgical excision. There are no good results with chemotherapy and radiotherapy. We present the case of a 70 year old patient with this disease who underwent surgery.
