Abstract

It is presented a case of a female patient, 58 years of age, who for approximately 4 months presented a clinical picture of edema, hematuria, cylindruria, proteinuria, and sudden and staggered renal function decline as the main symptoms. After a torpid evolution, the clinical history, physical examination, laboratory tests and renal biopsy are correlated to the diagnosis of SLE. Currently has recovery of renal function and treatment is based on administering immunosuppressant for the patient underlying disease in addition to the management of his complications.
