Abstract

An educational intervention was carried out in 70 adolescents aimed at changing knowledge about pregnancy during this period of life, during the period January - July 2011, at the Pediatric Teaching Hospital "Pedro Agustín Pérez". Variables were studied: age groups, schooling, as well as level of knowledge before and after the intervention on motivation to have sex, prevention, consequences, risks and complications of unwanted pregnancy. At the end of the intervention, all adolescents were adequately answered and the level of knowledge on the topic was raised.
