Abstract

A retrospective historical-logical investigation is carried out on the use of scorpion venom as a drug in general, in particular, for cancer. The historical references to its use as a treatment for cancer are explored in depth. A chronologically structured summary of the main findings found in various pieces of information is produced. It is concluded that there are sufficient documented historical references that demonstrate the use of scorpion venoms as a drug since antiquity to the present day, as well as a growing interest of the international scientific community for the investigations related to the use of venom as a source for the Production of anti-cancer drugs.
