Abstract

Neurological diseases, together with cardiovascular and respiratory diseases, are the most important chapter in the perioperative management of patients with chronic noncommunicable diseases, due to the morbidity and mortality, especially in the postoperative period. Neurological diseases are a very important aspect, taking into account that all anesthetic drugs, including muscle relaxants act to a greater or lesser degree on the nervous system. With the aim of setting guidelines and joining criteria in the anesthetic management, of the not infrequent neurological diseases, in the anesthesiology and resuscitation service of the General Teaching Hospital "Dr. Agostinho Neto "of Guantánamo, this bibliographic review is carried out.
