Abstract

A study was carried out with the objective of describing morphological variations of the brain in deceased patients with ischemic cerebrovascular diseases (ECVI) at the l General Teaching Hospital "Dr. Agostinho Neto "in Guantánamo in the period January-June 2010. The universe is made up of the total number of deaths in this entity until 2010 and, the sample, by 134 brains of individuals who, upon dying, had a diagnosis of CVUS. The primary information is taken from statistical controls, clinical histories, and hospital necropsy book and recorded in an emptying sheet. Variables such as: age, sex, Willis polygon configuration and arterial variations are selected. The male gender predominates and the 80-89 age group, mestizo skin color, as well as arterial circles with "non-classical" modifications, which in most individuals is due to the thin aspect of the arteries, fundamentally affecting The right ACoP. It is recommended to relate the results obtained in brain of deceased by ischemic cerebrovascular diseases with those of deceased by other causes.
