Research visibility in the age of Open Science

Abstract

In the current context of Open Science, researcher visibility has become a strategic element for democratizing knowledge and enhancing its social impact. Although institutional visibility is often prioritized, it is necessary to highlight the crucial role of the researcher through the development of a strong digital identity. In institutions such as Cuban medical universities, challenges such as limited access to publications and inequality in digital dissemination persist. Integrating the principles of Open Science not only increases the transparency and reproducibility of results but also enhances the visibility of researchers, facilitates international collaboration, and strengthens the university's social commitment.
