Theoretical bases that support the prevention of emergency caused by tooth decay in teens

Abstract

A bibliographical review was done to assess the theoretical framework underpinning the prevention of emergencies caused by dental caries in adolescents. It addresses issues such as: risk factors, preventive treatment and health promotion work. Education to adolescents is considered as the most effective way to prevent dental caries.
