Abstract

An investigation is done to study the behavior of nosocomial infections at the Pediatric Hospital "General Pedro Agustín Pérez, during 2005 and 2006 .taking into consideration, 114 infected cases were precised: age, sex, service and location. Studied Patients were evaluated by microbiology, causal germs, quality control of disinfectants and sterilization, mortality and lethality. As a conclusion, men younger than 1 year were the most affected, the service of nutrition had the highest rate. The upper respiratory tract was the most common, among others.making recommendations for the control of nosocomial sepsis.
