Abstract

A study is applied with various methods of the empirical level, including: survey, observation, specialist’s criteria and percentage ´s techniques. Sample is taken: 20 health professionals associated to the library of the medical science University Guantánamo in the period from January to March 2010 with the aim of assessing the level of awareness towards people with HIV. The level of information held by health professionals surveyed on the subject is inadequate. Are null actions developed in the library to remove the stigma towards patients living with HIV. It si recommended by the personal to develop educational activities designed to enhance the librarian work.
