Abstract

The Krukenberg tumor represents 1 to 2 % of all ovarian cancers, its diagnosis is  considered to be in approximately 30 % of metastatic to the ovary cancers, and are characterized by the presence of cell-ring and its most common source is digestive tract and breast. The prognosis of a patient with this tumor is extremely poor. A case of a female patient aged 47 was admitted for lower abdominal pain and palpable abdominal tumor, she was underwent laparotomy with a diagnosis of ovarian tumor. The pathology report showed a Krukenberg tumor, confirming its origin in a well-differentiated adenocarcinoma colon.
