Abstract

A study was performed to evaluate the knowledge of Baracoa authors writing scientific articles published prospects in the Journal of Scientific Information in 2013. The sample consisted of 20 jobs and the used techniques: document review and analysis of discourse. The analysis categories were the following: writing  and style and parts of the article. Errors were diagnosed and knowledge were evaluated by expert judgment being classified three levels: Not knowing, to know and to know, doing. The authors evaluated in the range of not knowing regulations concerning publication primarily in paragraphs Results and Discussion and References. However, regarding the writing  and style are placed in the category to know, inferring that have theoretical knowledge but lack writing skills. It is planned to make in the researchers, how to know, doing.
