Effectiveness of acupuncture treatment in patients with peptic ulcer

Abstract

A study was performed to demonstrate the effectiveness of acupuncture treatment in patients with peptic ulcer Polyclinic "Asdrúbal López Vázquez," Guantánamo. The universe is 30 patients that were sampled, according to inclusion and exclusion criteria. As used variables: gender, age group, clinical evaluation during and at the end of treatment as toxic habits, and evaluation at the end of conventional and acupuncture treatment. The information is obtained from literature reviews, case histories, information obtained from literature reviews, case histories, and the results of acupuncture treatment performed 3 times per week, each patient, with manual stimulation for 20 minutes. It was observed that acupuncture offers an alternative, economically, with few side effects, constituting an important basis for higher quality care even in difficult conditions.
