Suicide attempt and adolescente

Abstract

A study is performed in order to determine the behavior of suicide attempt in the town ofPalmar, from January 2012 to January 2013. The study group consisted of 13 adolescents diagnosed with suicide attempt, which met the criteria for research. Data through medical records, individual patient interview and survey emptied into a collection form, finally processed and materialized in two-ways contingency table entry with the use of absolute numbers and percentage that were obtained. Reported symptoms or identified its, definitive diagnostic and method: variables were used, too. It was resulted that as symptoms that preceded the suicide attempt, anxiety, irritability, insomnia and suicidal ideation, with definite diagnosis of adjustment disorder and the most used in the commission of suicide attempt were hard methods such as hanging.
