Abstract

A study was performed in order to determine the knowledge that mothers of infants have on acute respiratory infections (ARI). The universe was constituted by 217 mothers of infants belonging to the Basic Working Group 1 at the Polyclinic Asdrubal López Vázquez inGuantanamofrom January to December 2013. The primary data was obtained through a survey compiled by authors and was applied by one of them to 217 mothers who were attended Pediatric consultation, prior informed consent. It was determined that the knowledge on the subject is insufficient and therefore the practice is not adequate.
