Behavior of some risk factors for oral cancer

Abstract

Observational, descriptive cross-sectional study was performed, in order to determine the behavior of some risk factors for oral cancer in patients at grandparents house "Carlos Manuel de Cespedes"Guantanamo, from January to December 2014. The study group consisted of 45 patients. Primary information was obtained from individual medical history, whose data were embodied in a form of emptying. These data were processed and analysis was concluded; that prevailed females and the age group of 75 years and more with a 55.5 % and 62.3 % respectively. The main risk factors were the unadjusted prosthesis (51.1%) and consumption of coffee (40 %). The knowledge of the behavior of some risk factors for oral cancer patients at grandparents house "Carlos Manuel de Cespedes"Guantanamo, allow us the development of a proposed educational program to modify these factors and improve the quality of life of these patients, optimizing their oral and general health.
