Suicide attempt in adolescents: resilient and risk factors

Abstract

A study was conducted in adolescents with suicide attempt in the consultation of Child Psychiatry at the University Policlinic " 4 DE ABRIL", in2014, in order to determine risk factors and resilient. The study group was made up of 13 teenagers who were administered interview form and instrument of resilience. Age group, sex, method, triggering reason, associated psychiatric disorder, resilient and risk factors were the variables under study. This behavior predominated in the group of 13-15 years and females. It prevailed as a method of drug ingestion, reason as a trigger family conflict and as diagnostic associated depressive adjustment disorder. Few teenagers showed resilient factors related internal strengths "I AM-I AM" and all risk factors are identified, the families prevail.
