Suicidal behavior. Brief characterization in the municipality Yateras, Guantánamo

Abstract

A descriptive investigation in the municipality Yateras was conducted in order to characterize the behavior of suicidal behavior during 2014. The study group consisted of 25 patients who presented such behavior. Within results dominance of suicide attempts in adolescents, finished secondary school level, as ingestion of psychotropic drugs most commonly used method, with low gravity, lack of seriousness of intent and a non-lethal method was found risky. It was concluded that it should increase the promotion, prevention and interventions in this age group that increase resilience.
