Abstract

In the General Surgery Service of the General Teaching Hospital "Dr. Agostinho Neto, "the review of the rare association of pheochromocytoma and neurofibromatosis type 1 was performed, in relation to a patient operated in 2014, who underwent left adrenalectomy with satisfactory evolution. The review covered the history of this association, the concepts of pheochromocytoma and neurofibromatosis, epidemiology, etiopathogenesis, extensive genetic exposure of entities and its relationship, pathological anatomy, clinical picture, diagnosis, and updated surgical medical treatment.
