Abstract

Presenting the case, patient who came to the consultation presenting cervical tumor with slow growth that was not possible to make a preoperative clinical diagnosis despite its valuation by different specialists. Surgery is proposed taking into account the volume and location of suggestive anterior and paralaryngeal neck, not benign process. Total excision of the tumor was performed. The evaluation of the anatomical part by the pathology department reported that a tumor inside of the carotid artery with stenosis of the vascular light, a condition that stopped the dissection of the tumor from the affected vessel but benign. Ligation of the carotid links the absolute suppression of the lateral-brain, so the surgical risk is high. Recovery has been gradual and steady.
