Behavior of severe malaria on children under 15 years in the Republic of Mali

Abstract

a study is done to understand the behavior of severe malaria in infants who were attended at the clinical office inside the Hospital Nianankoro Fomba Segou in the Republic of Mali, from November to September 2012. The universe was the following 1431 patients diagnosed with malaria, a sample of 817 patients had severe malaria. The group 1-4 years, male was the most affected. From the most common symptoms and signs: fever, convulsion, diarrhea, vomiting, abdominal pain and pallor of the skin and mucosa. The most frequent complications were cerebral malaria, severe anemia and severe dehydration.
