The natural and traditional medicine and alternative method of preventive treatment for osteoporosis

Abstract

A literature review of materials available in electronic journals SciELO database is performed, as well as books that address this issue, taking into account the updated Natural Program and Traditional Medicine in order to substantiate the contribution of it to the Cuban Public Health and the inter-science-technology-society with osteoporosis, a disease that affects millions of people worldwide, considered an epidemic of the XXI century. In Cuba is a priority to be an aging population. The prospect science, technology and society (STS) contribute to building a scientific culture in the general population. The aim, therefore, is to generate guidance for healthy lifestyles to help as alternative and preventive treatment of osteoporosis.
