Abstract

A study was performed on 60 patients attended in consultation for surgery in Orthopedics and General Teaching Hospital "Octavio de la Concepción y La Pedraja", Baracoa municipality, between January 1999 and December 2011, presenting a diagnosis of cavus foot first grade, with the aim of demonstrating the efficacy of surgical treatment of soft tissue with early fasciotomy Steindler and support as a solution to this disease in the early school years. 88.3% of patients progressing well, healing theirs deformities in short time with simple and dynamic surgical procedure, which returns quickly a child to society, ensuring a biomechanically stable adult with foot and painless.
