Abstract

Aspects of the epidemiology of head and neck cancer is analyzed in Guantanamo from January 2006 to January 2014. The study group consists of 257 dead people. The variables are the following: year of occurrence, mortality, sex, age group and affected town. Predominance of deaths from this cause from 2011 to 2013, males had a higher number of deaths and the highest rates. The sixth decade of life and the town Guantanamo were the most affected. The prognosis of these patients depends on the clinical stage, the identification of those at risk and precursor lesions and early diagnosis. As the need to arises and execute the duties by the Basic Health Team to enable the identification and tracking them.
